Humility...

Thank you guys for all the prayers! I actually ended up in the Emergency Room on antibiotics and the whole she bang! Funny thing, I went to a different hospital than where I work because just in case I was to be admitted, I didn’t want my colleagues in my business. Either way, as I was walked into my room, the nurse said “ Take everything off from the chest up and put on that gown”. Now this is something I have heard a million times..but..never to me! The idea of stripping and putting on a patient’s gown made me feel so.. vulnerable.  Then it was time for them to start an IV on me…ohhhh! it hurt so bad! It was mind blowing to me because I order labs and IV lines all the time and never knew how painful the process was. At times, I  order multiple lines on the same person ( out of necessity of course) without a second thought!

Hospital Beds

Matthew 23:12 - For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.

I was weak, sick and helpless but the whole time  I kept on thinking of the numerous patients I come across everyday. Ive been told I am an incredibly compassionate doctor but there is always room for improvement. I pray to become better…..

Thanks again for your prayers. I am home on medication but basically back to normal. I owe you guys the continuation of a “certain” post…lol. I won’t keep you waiting long…

I know ey, experiencing something gives you an idea of what others in that situation experience and makes you empathetic .....Get well soon and take all the time you want..:) Hugs
